The Challenge
The North Face came to us for a brand film that broke from convention: a story that didn’t revolve around the product.

Our Goals
Make a film people would watch for its own sake, one that captures why we go outside at all, and let the brand live in that feeling rather than in a product shot.

The Creative Approach
The idea was ours. No Signal follows travelers who go beyond the reach of their phones and find what they’d been missing. We wrote the voiceover as a quiet reflection and let Iceland carry everything the words leave unsaid.

Behind the Scenes
In one week we covered 15 locations, from waterfalls and glacier lagoons to black sand beaches, a lava cave and a plane wreck on the coast. The weather changed by the hour, from sunshine to rain, so a small crew stayed ready to shoot whatever the sky gave us.

Production Highlights
We developed the concept, wrote the voiceover, and produced, directed and shot the film across Iceland.

In Post
We edited, colored and built the sound design in-house. The grade ties together footage shot in very different light, and a soundscape of wind, water and footsteps puts you on the trail.
